Dancing droplets

I went to Lake Alserio to witness the daily life of its aquatic birds. It didn’t take long—just a few minutes’ walk from the shore—before I spotted a family of Great Crested Grebes going about their day. I settled down to watch them, letting their graceful routines unfold before me. They rewarded my patience with many wonderful moments, including this one: a grebe shaking off a spray of droplets, its motion frozen in midair, capturing both energy and stillness in a single frame.
